Sedation Dentistry
Going to the dentist no longer has to be scary or daunting. With sedation dentistry all treatments — hygiene, extractions, restorations, cosmetics, and implants — can be completed during a single appointment while being asleep. For patients who don’t want to be put to sleep, nitrous is available. This form of sedation decreases anxiety and helps patients become calm before dental treatment is started.

Meet Our Team

Meet Dr. Trusha Patel

Dr. Patel is passionate about delivering the highest quality of dental care to patients in and around Tigard, Oregon and looks forward to getting to know you and your family. It is her focus to keep up with the latest research and advances in dentistry so she can ensure thorough patient education along with the most effective solutions for your dental needs. Through her honest, comfortable and dependable dental care, you will quickly find that Dr. Patel and her team are a team you can trust.

Dr. Patel received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Washington. She then went on to complete the Post Baccalaureate Pre-Dental program at Portland State University followed by dental school at OHSU School of Dentistry in Portland, OR where she graduated with her DMD. Prior to and throughout dental school, Dr. Patel also participated in numerous research programs and held leadership roles.

Outside of work, you will typically find Dr. Patel spending time with her family and puppy, Lilly. Raised in the PNW, she loves the occasional hike and outdoor activities in addition to trying new restaurants. Volunteering overseas in Honduras, Haiti, and Nepal through dental mission trips grew her passion for dentistry and is something that she holds near to her heart. She looks forward to more volunteer opportunities in the future.

Wendy – Dental Assistant

I have been working in the field of dentistry for almost 20 years now! So crazy how fast time goes when you're having fun. I started the first 5 years of my journey as a dental assistant, learning all the ins and outs of the dental practice, insurance, and in achieving both optimal care and the perfect patient experience. I attended and graduated with honors from Dental Hygiene school in Tucson, Arizona in 2010 and have been working ever since. I have worked in many different areas of dentistry including public, private, and community based dental offices. I have also been privileged enough to work with several volunteer community-based programs that focus on underserved populations. I love attending continued education courses and do so frequently.

On a personal note, I am married and have one ridiculously amazing daughter. She is my favorite topic. I also have 1 gorgeous husky dog and 2 sweet, but often mischievous cats. We enjoy road trips, trying out new food places (I always welcome suggestions), hiking, kayaking, and generally just enjoying each other. My other favorite pastimes are reading & watching good movies or shows.

Amy – Dental Assistant

I have been a Dental Assistant since 2010 and have been with Dental Professionals since 2018. I have always loved working with people and find working in dental helping people achieve healthy and happy smiles has always been a rewarding experience. I love getting to know our patients and hearing about their families, work, and interests. Through the years I have been able to experience working in both the back office providing patient care and in the front office working on treatment planning, insurance, and financials. My main focus now is as the office Financial Coordinator, but I still like to help out in the back with patient care when I can. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters, we like to keep busy kayaking, paddle boarding, camping, and exploring Oregon.

Leslie – Dental Assistant

I joined Dr. Patel’s team in March 2023 after graduating from Concorde Carrer College. I am passionate about dental health, and I love making people smile. I have always loved the dental field since I was a little child and have decided to put it into practice. Outside the office you will find me playing my piano or spending time with my husband going on different adventures. I look forward to meeting you in the office.

Lisa – Front Office

I started working in the dental industry in 2020, and I love it! I have learned so much, it's crazy. I love meeting new people and helping to brighten their smile in any way I can. Your teeth are one of the first things that people notice about you, so I love helping people keep them healthy.

Before my transition into dental, I was an administrative assistant for nearly 20 years. Before that I worked in the plastic injection molding industry, which included making many parts that are used in dental. It's funny how things come full circle.

In my spare time I love to travel, read, and binge watch reality TV. My husband and I are big cruisers, so we have been all over the world and still feel like we have barely seen a fraction of it. When we aren't cruising, we love to road trip through the beautiful Pacific Northwest with our amazing, funny, playful, bed hogging Great Dane, Charlie. He is our only child, and we love to spoil him! He is our pride and joy, and yes, he thinks he's a lap dog.
